The print is one of a series of studies of the East Devon coastal landscape between Beer and Branscombe. Underhooken is a unique jungle-like area of dense vegetation and white chalk pinnacles, between the clifftops and the beach. It was formed by a landslide in 1790.
The photos here show the linocut in progress and the process of inking and hand printing it at Double Elephant Print Workshop on the Albion relief press.
