Kensington Palace, Sunken Gardens installation

I was commissioned by Historic Royal Palaces as part of the Kensington & Chelsea InTransit Festival to create a large-scale interactive public installation for the Sunken Gardens at Kensington Palace.

I researched the many intriguing hidden histories and secrets of former inhabitants of Kensington palace (the Rat-catcher, Peter the wild boy, Anne and Sarah Churchill, William III and Mary II). These were then captured in papercuts - some of which formed larger perspex silhouettes (fabricated at UWE ) and others as intricate paper designs sealed into the suspended baubles, resembling a strange fruit throughout the gardens. Visitors were able to add their own secret thoughts and memories to the hundreds of suspended baubles.
