Wallpaper at the Royal Shakespeare Company

November 7, 2015

wallpaper at RSC My Peter Pan wallpaper is hanging in the RSC Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon alongside their current exhibition – Make Believe: The Art Of Neverland. I really hope to get a chance to visit this exploration of artists’ interpretations of Peter Pan. It includes work by Paula Rego, Tom Gallant, Kerry Miller, Béatrice Coron and Andrea Dezsö as well as stage and set designs from the RSC show.

I also screenprinted some of the design onto fabric to create colourful cushions in the family activities area of the RSC.

Beastly Chronicles on MTV

October 2, 2012

My Beastly Chronicles wallpaper decorates the kitchen in the new MTV reality show The Valleys. I really like the style of the house. Here are some pics.

Of all the places my wallpaper hangs I’m sure these rolls will witness the most outrageous behaviour!

Peter Pan features in this week’s Sunday Times Style magazine! … but I’m really distracted by the gorgeous Toast baubles on the same page.

Peter Pan Wallpaper…coming soon

May 7, 2011

Hooray! after months of being absorbed by J.M. Barrie, the Llewelyn-Davies family and the creation of Peter Pan, I’ve finally finished my new Neverland wallpaper design. Here are some of the cut-paper characters that feature in it. Everything has been hand-cut by a scalpel… it’s like drawing with a knife. This week I’m finalising the colourways so the paper should be ready by next month.

Kirstie’s Homemade Home

October 27, 2010

The book accompanying the Channel Four series Kirstie’s Homemade Home is now out – with a chapter on how to print your own wallpaper. This features Kirstie screenprinting the Beastly Chronicles design for her North Devon house with me last April.

Printing your own wallpaper is always going to be tricky and two pages is never enough to try and explain how to go about it. Do get in touch if you do print something for your house – I’d love to see! Or if you have any problems, I’m happy to try to answer any questions.

Contemporary Craft Fair

June 10, 2010

This weekend I’m selling my wallpaper and some prints at The Contemporary Craft Fair at Bovey Tracey in Devon.

Come along and say hello to me in my wallpaper den if you’re in the area – Friday 11 – Sunday 13 from 10am – 5pm, stand A05. Mine is the most cluttered stand in comparison to all the gorgeous white minimalist jewellery stands…

Rose Hill project

June 1, 2010

The Alexandra Reinhardt Memorial Award has enabled me to work with The Art Room at Rose Hill Primary School in Oxford on a weekly basis until July. I’m printing with three groups of children from year 2 – year 6 and working towards making magnetic wallpaper at the end of the project.

The Art Room is a wonderful caring and creative environment in which the most challenging children can ‘learn and achieve through art’. We’re printing each week and using stories like Handa’s Surprise, The Hungry Caterpillar and The Tiger Who Came to Tea as inspiration for their monotypes, monoprints and collagraphs. Here are a couple of pictures of some of the gorgeous colourful monoprints the children are making.
